Pinhole at each corner and middle of side borders, bottom edge was folded back about an inch at one time, 2 repaired tears at bottom of vertical fold, top edge a little grimy in places (perhaps rather aptly!). | Having been mauled by the critics in the UK, the film received limited distribution in the US, where it was marketed from a low budget exploitation angle, as can be seen with this scarce poster. Later Martin Scorsese recognized its merits and rescued it from obscurity. Now of course it's considered a classic of British cinema and has earned its place in the pantheon of Michael Powell's finest works. | |
